Sr. Key Account Manager
to join our sales team in Madrid.

Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture business relationships with new and existing clients in your designated territory - Spain.
- Strategically increase our win rate with clients, turning rising stars into loyal partners.
- Work closely with customers' procurement teams to build a robust order book and develop a pipeline for future growth with R&D leaders.
- Regularly visit customers to keep Suanfarma “Top of Mind” and familiarize them with our diverse product portfolio (Vet & Human APIs and intermediates).
- Develop and implement a business plan per territory / customer segment.
- Prepare, present and ensure yearly sales performance.
- Develop and grow a pipeline of new projects for future growth.
- Coordinate with Strategic Planning and R&D to market relevant sales campaigns and product focus.
\- Adhere to the financial guidelines and policies of the company including DSO / DPO / DIO and debt monitoring.
\- Ensure external agents follow all company policies and are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Guide and train the designated Sales Specialist following the Commercial Playbook.
- Ensure correct balance of customer segmentation.
- Coordinate and leverage collaboration between internal departments to ensure correct and efficient customer service and response.
- Close collaboration with purchasing functions to ensure smooth transition of purchasing activities.
- Negotiate supply agreements.
- Collaborate with internal functions to comply with both internal and external guidelines.
- Utilize and maintain SalesForce updated to ensure efficient customer management and follow‑up.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field (Master’s degree in Business Management or Marketing will be a plus.)
- At least 10 years of experience in Sales, or Account Management within the active pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Strong understanding of APIs, intermediates, and pharmaceutical industry (both human and veterinary).
- Proven track record of achieving commercial targets and developing long‑term customer relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and planning abilities.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and cross‑functionally;
- High level of English (spoken and written); other languages will be an asset.
- Proficient in CRM tools, ideally Salesforce.
- Availability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
