Leap29 is excited to present a great new opportunity with a leading international renewables company specialising in decentralised energy transition, delivering energy efficiency solutions across Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. We are currently seeking a Group Technical Advisor to join our client's Energy Efficiency team in Madrid.

The ideal candidate will provide expert technical leadership and support across industrial heating and steam systems. This is a hybrid technical and strategic role that blends subject matter expertise with internal consultancy, training, and project assurance. You’ll work across multiple business units to guide major energy efficiency initiatives, helping clients reduce consumption and decarbonise thermal processes.

Key responsibilities
  • Train teams on energy audits and thermal demand simulations for heating and steam systems
  • Validate and recommend optimal thermal equipment and SCADA controls to maximise efficiency
  • Guide the preparation of technical and economic proposals, including budgets and ROI analyses
  • Support tender management and contract closure with clients and suppliers, ensuring compliance with standards
  • Assist local teams with construction follow-up, works acceptance, and punch list management on key projects
  • Coach and develop Energy Efficiency engineers and managers
  • Engage with clients and providers for major projects as needed
  • Develop standardised asset management processes for the systems you oversee
Key requirements
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or similar
  • 10+ years in heating and steam systems covering engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Expert knowledge of industrial boilers, cogeneration, and steam generation equipment
  • Experience with product selection software and industrial furnace systems is a plus
  • Skilled in thermal simulation software and analysis tools
  • Experienced in SCADA / control systems dedicated to heating and steam generation and distribution
  • Familiar with major manufacturers and suppliers (direct contacts would be a plus)
  • Proven experience managing installation of steam generation systems and networks
  • Fluent in English (Spanish, French or other EU languages a plus)
  • Willing to travel across Europe and other regions as needed
