As a Data Engineer at INBRAIN, you will be in charge of implementing the internal data collection, ingestion and automatic analysis tools.

You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people´s lives worldwide.

Your profile

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain real-time data acquisition orchestration tools and user interfaces to synchronize and automatize multiple data collection instruments and facilitate data collection in experiments;
• Support in the definition of the in-vivo data model of the TsDi team, with extension to in-vitro electrochemical characterization and in-silico testing;
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines with streaming capabilities to automatically format data in a standard way according to the data model;
• Deploy time-series efficient databases at scale populated with ingested/streamed data according to the data model;
• Develop analysis pipelines as designed by data scientists to perform automatic data analysis and populate derivatives and results in databases;
• Develop web interfaces to facilitate the exploration of raw data and derived results by non-experts using user interfaces, dashboards, live plots, and AI agents such as Microsoft co-pilots and similar;
• Expand system capabilities to absorb MLOps as part of the data cycle;

Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills:

• Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics engineering or Physics.
• Relevant 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL and noSQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB), analysis pipelines (using tools like Apache Spark or Pandas), containerization (Docker), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and job orchestration and management tools (such as Kubernetes, Harbor, Jenkins and Apache Airflow).
• Focus on data streaming applications such as audio or video.
• Fluent in English (company language).
• Approachable, methodical, and good communication.

Nice to have:

• Relevant 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience with data acquisition instrumentation, orchestration and synchronization in electrophysiology setups or multimodal recording setups (video, audio, motion tracking).
• Experience with testing and manufacturing processes in medical devices or healthcare industry.
• Spanish is a plus.
