As the CFO, you will set up and lead the financial function in a new market, ensuring compliance and integration with group standards. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on execution, including legal setup and active involvement in M&A growth.
Market Entry & Setup
- Lead the design and implementation of financial infrastructure for Spain, including legal entity setup, accounting systems, tax registration, and banking relationships.
- Establish local governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with Spanish regulations and alignment with group standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls, risk management protocols, and financial policies from the ground up.
- Ensure adoption of financial reporting best practices to support transparency and scalability.
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Group CFO, jointly owning the P&L and shaping the financial direction of the Spanish business.
- Act as a key intermediary managing reporting and alignment with the Group Executive Board and collaboration with other countries.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling for Spain.
- Support M&A activity, including sourcing, target evaluation, due diligence, and integration.
Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, treasury, and audit processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely integration into group reporting structures, including IFRS compliance and monthly consolidation.
- Drive working capital efficiency, cash forecasting, and cost control.
- Implement scalable systems and processes to support future growth.
Commercial Decision Support
- Provide financial insight to support pricing, contract profitability, and bid strategies.
- Translate financial data into actionable intelligence for operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to drive margin improvement.
Team Development & Leadership
- Lead a high‑performing finance team in Spain, ensuring capability and alignment with group standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration.
- Champion capability development and change management across the finance function.
Transformation & Integration
- Modernize tools, data flows, and reporting to align with group standards.
- Contribute to ESG reporting and support financial inputs for sustainability certifications and impact tracking.
