Cloud Support Associate (German & English speaking) – AWS ESC (European Sovereign Cloud) team. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will act as the Cloud Ambassador across all cloud products, assisting a global list of customers deploying mission-critical applications in ESC. Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, is required. This role involves helping customers understand architectures, integration approaches, and best practices for applications, servers, and networks.

• Provide customer support across cloud products via telephone, email, and web/live chat.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques, drive customer interactions, and investigate root causes of issues.
• Coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, and collaborate with development teams on complex issues.
• Participate in hiring, write tools/scripts to aid the team, and contribute to process improvements and strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience and compliance with AWS standards.
• Maintain on-call responsibilities and support on a rotational basis (5 days a week, occasionally weekends).

• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is required.
• Legal right to work in Germany (and relocation support within the EU may be provided).
• On-call availability as part of the role.

• National of an EU member state.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills in English and German; bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Information Technology/Data Science/Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Physics or a related field OR equivalent 6+ months experience in a technical position.
• Knowledge or experience with troubleshooting OS issues and understanding the OSI networking model; ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for technical issues.

• Experience in monitoring and/or troubleshooting OS administration (Linux/Windows) and networking (DNS, TCP/IP).
• Experience in one or more areas: Databases, Big Data, Analytics, Security, Development languages (Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, .NET), Storage/Content Delivery, DevOps, Windows, Linux, or Networking.
