As a Senior Linux Administrator, you will assume responsibility for the operational support of a complex IT infrastructure for a key client following comprehensive training.

With the backing of the rest of the IT and Networking teams, you will serve as the primary contact for all technical issues concerning this major client.

Additionally, you will leverage your expertise and innovative ideas to enhance and evolve the environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the operation and optimization of the customer environment, including short-term and long-term troubleshooting.
• Independently analyse error messages, trigger fault tickets, and document the analysis and processing status in detail.
• Execute timely and technically accurate changes, and communicate effectively with the customer throughout the process.
• Maintain and update customer environment documentation, including known errors and asset information.
• Collaborate with the customer to identify and implement improvements, develop technical concepts, and participate in regular meetings to address technical questions.

Skills/Must have:

• Linux - Debian, Redhat, possibly Ubuntu
• Automation - Python & Bash
• Scripting - Python

Nice to have:

• Database administration - MariaDB & MySQL
• Virtualisation - Proxmox
• Networking - IPv4 & IPv6
