A leading company in the defense and aerospace industry is seeking professionals experienced in cloud technologies and serverless applications to support and develop EUMETSAT’s hybrid cloud infrastructure. The role promises a dynamic work environment that requires autonomy and collaborative skills. Candidates should be proficient in relevant cloud management tools and technologies.
For our customer, EUMETSAT we are looking for two future colleagues with experience in Cloud and Serverless activities and to maintain, support, develop our customer's on-prem and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
The scope of the work is built upon EUMETSAT cloud infrastructures and services, encompassing various cloud service models on Infrastructure as
a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS), by relying on leading-edge technologies such as cloud technologies, (e.g. OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes) and automation tools and by optimizing multi-cloud environments to offer unified and efficient platforms. In essence, the scope is driven by rapidly evolving cloud technologies to create an agile, secure, and efficient digital environment that is beneficial to EUMETSAT users, safeguards data, and advances meteorological and environmental monitoring.

Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory, as English is the working language. This is a hybrid position where you will be working up to 3 days/week at home and the rest at EUMETSAT's location in Darmstadt (a city of 160K population, 30km south of Frankfurt am Main) Germany.
The variety of the tasks and the scope of the systems to be supported require a high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills together with the ability to effectively cooperate within the team.
