• Investigate technical solutions for optical systems and simulations.

• Develop front-end beam steering concepts using tools like Zemax or FRED.

• Design optical components and modules based on project specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering, IP, production, quality assurance, and service teams.

• Evaluate and translate requirement specifications into functional requirements.

• Develop qualification plans and test procedures for optical units.

• Support production by creating test benches and conducting root cause analysis.

• Participate in prototype development and create technical documentation.

• Communicate with international customers on technical matters.

You inspire us with that:

• Masters degree in optical engineering, electronics, photonics, physics, or related field; Ph.D. preferred.

• 3+ years experience in designing optical systems.

• Experience with industrial development processes desired.

• Knowledge of lens manufacturing methods and laser physics is advantageous.

• Practical skills with Zemax, FRED, Matlab, Python, LightTools, LabView.

• Experience with automotive processes (ASPICE).

• Excellent communication skills in German and English, with strong teamwork abilities.
