The Erlangen site in Germany, focused on Powertrain Systems, is seeking a VIE Junior R&D Project Engineer for 12 months. You will research, develop, and test high-voltage components and systems for electric powertrains in hybrid and electric vehicles.

You will coordinate and manage work packages and projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the company and support the R&D eAxle Management team through analysis, cost breakdowns, presentations, and process documentation. You will develop strategies, improve processes, and work closely with the Technical Project Manager on HV drivetrains. You will define work packages, monitor progress, and ensure the delivery of technical components. You will also have leadership responsibilities within your project scope, fostering cooperation and supporting budget and schedule planning.

About you

You hold a degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.

Ideally, you have some professional experience in automotive product development and process knowledge (ISO/TS, APQP, Automotive SPICE). Experience in managing small to complex projects, especially in automotive, and knowledge of electric or hybrid drives are preferred.

You are autonomous, responsible, fluent in English, and ideally also in German and/or French. You possess good communication skills, an international outlook, and openness to new cultures and ways of working. You are humble, attentive, positive, professional, and diplomatic.
