A leading finance organization in Hamburg is looking for a Team Lead for Individual Financial Statements. This role entails overseeing a skilled team responsible for accurate financial reporting under German GAAP and IFRS. The successful candidate will have over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, strong leadership skills, and a passion for coaching. Qualifications
- 10+ years' finance and accounting experience with initial management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS accounting standards.

Join a dynamic finance team as the Team Lead for Individual Financial Statements, overseeing a skilled group responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS. This leadership role combines hands‑on accounting expertise with people management, process improvement, and cross‑departmental collaboration.
- Lead and develop a team of 6 in General Ledger and Sub‑Ledger accounting, fostering motivation, growth, and support.
- Ensure timely, accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger, sub‑ledger, account reconciliations, and complex transaction accounting.
- Manage task prioritization and coordination, even during peak periods.
- Promote an open, solution‑focused team culture.
- Collaborate closely with Controlling, Group Accounting, Tax, and external auditors.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and internal controls.
- Contribute to system implementation and accounting standardisation projects.
- Degree in Business Administration or equivalent commercial training; Certified Accountant qualification is a plus.
- 10+ years' finance and accounting experience with initial management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS accounting standards.
- Proficient SAP user, ideally with S/4HANA experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and confidence in financial statement preparation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with an empathetic, role‑model approach.
