We are seeking a market-oriented Global Product Manager (m/f/d) to drive market expansion, product-market fit, and commercialization success in our core cell line development (CLD) workflows, managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to market launch while collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product excellence and relevance. The position can be filled at our office in Freiburg im Breisgau or in a hybrid set-up.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a clear product vision and strategy while owning the entire product lifecycle from ideation to ongoing iteration.
• Lead cross-functional discussions and analyze customer feedback to guide product evolution and prepare recommendations for leadership.
• Engage with customers, key opinion leaders, and partners to validate market needs and define product positioning. Conduct market research and customer segmentation and develop customer engagement strategies.
• Develop product messaging and positioning to support sales and marketing strategies, and create high-impact content for demand generation.
• Drive sales enablement initiatives and develop pricing strategies to equip commercial teams with product knowledge and competitive insights, while updating pricing based on market conditions.
• Serve as the market advocate and bridge between teams to align product decisions with commercial needs and ensure seamless product commercialization.
• Identify business opportunities and lead stakeholder alignment by collaborating with sister companies and delivering data-driven insights and business cases.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in relevant fields such as cell biology, molecular biology, synthetic biology, drug development, high-throughput screening, or related disciplines.
• Multiple years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, market development, business development or similar in the biotech and biopharma industry.
• Prior hands-on experience in developing, executing or supporting go-to-market strategies leading to successful product launch.
• Familiarity with market research and agile development methodologies, understanding of financial principles for business case creation and budgeting is a plus.
• Ability to synthesize market insights into product strategies, drive cross-functional collaboration, and create impactful content.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with a growth mindset and can-do attitude to make autonomous decisions and take calculated risks.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (10%) to customers or conferences.
