Jobbeschreibung

American BOA, Inc. is looking for Level III Welders (Mig, Tig) for 2nd shift (indoors). Hours are Monday through Friday 1:50 pm to 10:10 pm with the option for OT on weekends.

Your responsibilities
  • Set-up and operate welding equipment to cut or weld parts.
  • Set-up weld parameters for weld task as hand. Includes proper shielding gas and electrode selection, and current, voltage, wire feed (etc.) settings.
  • Assures proper weld safety practices at all times.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining, welding, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
  • Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.
  • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly using various gauges including calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, go/no gauges, leak testers, and other customer-provided gauges as assigned.
  • Installs replacement parts in equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Work with maintenance, quality and engineering to solve production related issues.
  • Must maintain and clean and safe work area
Your qualifications, experience and skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of metallurgy
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding
  • Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
