# W3 professorship “Economics, especially Empirical Microeconomics”The Faculty of Law and Economics, School of Economics and Business, at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking to fill the following position at the earliest possible date:W3 professorship “Economics, especially Empirical Microeconomics”We seek a person with a proven track record in empirical microeconomics with publications in high-ranking international journals and the potential for further high-ranking publications. Research interests that strengthen the profile of the School of Economics and Business (especially in the quantitativeempirical field of economic governance) and open up opportunities for cooperation are expressly desired. It is expected that the applicant's own research focus has links to the university's profile areas “Sustainability, Transformation and Knowledge Cultures and Education”. Applicants should have experience with or be willing to acquire and carry out third-party funded projects.In teaching, the professorship covers courses taught in German and English, particularly in microeconomics, but also applied econometrics, where possible. Cooperation in the English-language doctoral program in economics (Central German Doctoral Program in Economics, CGDE) is also desirable. In addition, the ability to connect to the business administration competence area of business governance, which focuses particularly on sustainability, is expected. Active participation in academic selfadministration is considered a matter of course.The professorship is part of the School of Economics and Business at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Business and is integrated into the institute's and faculty's diverse cooperative relationships. Cooperation exists, for example, with the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle (IWH) and the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO).Applicants must fulfill the appointment requirements by § 35 of the Higher Education Act of Saxony-Anhalt. In particular, the prerequisites for appointment are a relevant habilitation or equivalent academic achievements and pedagogical aptitude. They should be able to demonstrate this through their professional career and relevant publications.
