Job Description

Team Europe is looking for a Venture Developer to generate and analyze business ideas and to turn them into stand-alone ventures. The focus shall be on analyzing the market potential of unsolved technical problems in a variety of industries, picking the most attractive ideas, and launching them by recruiting a team and by providing the team with the initial support required to become independent ventures. You will also be providing support to our existing portfolio companies and have responsibility for our relationships with external parties such as strategic players, investors and thought leaders.

Your responsibilities include

• Working closely with portfolio companies, strategic players, investors and thought leaders to identify and analyze unsolved technical problems especially in cleantech/ aerospace industries
• Analyzing market potential of ideas and define team, capital, business model and product/technology required to turn the most compelling ideas into stand-alone ventures
• Identification and recruiting of a top-notch technical and commercial talent for new ventures and closely assist them in the initial launch phase to hit the ground running
• Cultivation of partnerships with strategic players, financial investors and start-ups to provide new ventures with the right resources and funding to succeed

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should have

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a high-paced environment (Consulting, Startup or Investment Banking)
• Outstanding academic and professional credentials
• A technical background (e.g. engineering, physics, etc.) and curiosity to get deeply involved in the frontier tech topics that we want to focus on
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive results-driven attitude
• Long-term focus
• An additional plus point would be if you have professional experience in recruiting talent
