A leading German university is seeking an internationally recognized University Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the institute’s research, with an emphasis on biogenic active substances and their mechanisms of action. Teaching responsibilities include courses in pharmaceutical biology for the state examination program and active involvement in academic administration is expected. The Institute of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences (IPBW) at the Faculty of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Geography and Geosciences invites applications for the position of University Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology.
Salary grade W 3 LBesG | Civil Servant (tenured)
Tasks and expectations:
We are looking for a candidate who is internationally recognized with outstanding achievements in a current research area in pharmaceutical biology. Applicants should preferably demonstrate research achievements in the area of pharmaceutical biology with a focus on biogenic active substances and the elucidation of their mechanisms of action. Experience in RNA research is desirable.
