Job summary

J&T Express Germany GmbH in Nieder-Olm (near Mainz) is seeking a Treasury Assistant to support daily treasury operations, cash flow management, and accounts receivable processes. The role is 100% on-site at our German headquarters and involves collaboration with Finance and external customers for accurate records and timely collections.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, cash monitoring, credit checks, and development of treasury procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or business administration.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in credit control or receivables.
• Strong understanding of banking transactions, reconciliations, and treasury basics.
• Experience with SAP ERP and strong Excel proficiency.
• Analytical thinker with good communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily bank transactions and cash movements with accurate records.
• Perform bank account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor cash balances, daily cash flow, and liquidity for planning.
• Manage customer account balances and accounts receivable, following up on overdue amounts.
• Conduct credit checks and assess creditworthiness for new and existing customers.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Support treasury procedures, internal controls, and receivables management processes.
• Prepare treasury and financial reports covering balances, reconciliations, receivables, and risk activities.

Join J&T Express as a Treasury Assistant and play an important role in supporting our daily treasury operations, cash flow management, and accounts receivable processes. You will work closely with Finance, internal stakeholders, and external customers to ensure accurate financial records, timely collections, and effective credit risk monitoring. The position is based at our German headquarters in Nieder-Olm (near Mainz) and is 100% on-site.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor and record daily bank transactions and cash movements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Perform regular bank account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate necessary corrections
• Monitor cash balances, daily cash flow, and liquidity, supporting effective treasury operations and financial planning
• Manage and reconcile customer account balances and accounts receivable, identifying overdue payments and following up on outstanding amounts
• Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers, assess creditworthiness, and support effective credit risk management
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies, coordinate collections, and maintain accurate payment records
• Support the development and improvement of treasury procedures, internal controls, and receivables management processes
• Prepare regular treasury and financial reports covering cash balances, bank reconciliations, receivables, collections, and credit risk activities for management

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Collections, or a related finance function
• Good understanding of banking transactions, account reconciliations, receivables management, and basic treasury processes
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical thinking, critical decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess financial risks and identify discrepancies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, particularly when coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style with a strong sense of accuracy and responsibility
• Business-fluent Mandarin and English are mandatory, both written and spoken
• Previous experience in the logistics industry or banking environment is considered an advantage
