J&T Express Germany GmbH in Nieder-Olm (near Mainz) is seeking a Financial Analyst / Controller to strengthen financial reporting, budgeting, and business performance analysis. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in Financial Analysis, Controlling, or Business Analysis; exceptional candidates with less are welcome.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including GL, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical thinking and detail orientation.
• Fluent Mandarin and English; German a plus; valid work authorization in Germany.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO, Power BI; SQL or Python is an advantage.
• Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, logistics, or cross-border e-commerce; professional qualifications like CPA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA, Bilanzbuchhalter are a plus.

Join J&T Express as a Financial Analyst / Controller and play an important role in strengthening our financial reporting, budgeting, and business performance analysis. You will work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights, support data-driven decision-making, and continuously improve our reporting processes and analytical tools. The position is based at our German headquarters in Nieder-Olm (near Mainz) and is 100% on-site.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain management reports, financial analyses, and business performance reports, providing meaningful insights into financial and operational developments
• Analyze financial and business data to identify performance gaps, underlying issues, and improvement opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations
• Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, monitoring budget execution and analyzing variances between planned and actual results
• Collaborate closely with Finance, management, and business departments to align reporting definitions, financial data standards, and analytical requirements
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of financial reports through effective data validation and coordination with relevant stakeholders
• Drive the automation and digitalization of financial reporting and analysis processes, reducing manual effort and improving data accessibility
• Develop, maintain, and optimize financial dashboards and analytical tools to support transparent performance monitoring and management decision-making
• Support additional finance-related analyses, reporting activities, and projects as required by the line manager

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Controlling, Management Accounting, or Business Analysis; exceptional candidates with less experience are also welcome
• Solid accounting knowledge, including the ability to interpret general ledger entries, trial balances, and financial statements
• Advanced Excel skills, combined with strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Business-fluent Mandarin and English are mandatory, both written and spoken; German skills (B1 or above) are an advantage
• Valid work authorization for Germany is required
• Experience with SAP (preferably FI/CO), other ERP systems, or Power BI, as well as knowledge of SQL or Python, is an advantage
• Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, logistics, express delivery, or cross-border e-commerce, or professional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA, or Bilanzbuchhalter, is considered a plus
