J&T Express Germany GmbH is seeking a Security Engineer to fortify our IT infrastructure in Nieder-Olm, Rheinland-Palatinate. You will monitor security events, respond to incidents, and help strengthen security controls across servers, networks and endpoints.

The role requires hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS and EDR, plus a solid understanding of GDPR compliance and security best practices. You will collaborate across teams in a dynamic, international logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Fluent Mandarin and business fluent English or German.
• At least 5 years of professional information security experience.
• At least 1 year in security management/compliance within logistics or related industry.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR and vulnerability management.

• Strengthen security of servers, networks, and endpoints; manage vulnerabilities.
• Drive remediation of identified vulnerabilities and improve security measures.
• Develop information security policies, procedures, and incident response processes.

• Support security audits and awareness initiatives.

In this role, you will focus on protecting our IT infrastructure, monitoring and responding to security incidents, and proactively identifying and addressing vulnerabilities. You will also contribute to the continuous development of our information security framework and support GDPR and compliance-related activities.

The role is based in Nieder-Olm, Rhineland-Palatinate.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor, identify, and respond to security incidents using technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Strengthen the security of servers, networks, and endpoint devices and manage vulnerabilities through regular vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Drive the remediation of identified security vulnerabilities and continuously improve technical security measures
• Build and further develop information security policies, procedures, and incident response processes
• Support GDPR compliance activities, including DPIAs, processing records, data subject rights, and data breach procedures
• Support security awareness initiatives as well as internal and external security and compliance audits

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or a comparable qualification
• Fluent in Mandarin and business fluent in either English or German
• At least 5 years of professional experience in information security
• At least 1 year of security management or compliance experience within logistics, parcel/express delivery, or a related industry
• Strong hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident response, system and network security, and vulnerability management
• Practical experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR, as well as vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Knowledge of GDPR and information security compliance; practical experience with GDPR requirements is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, hands-on, and independent way of working
• Strong communication skills and a high level of ownership and integrity
