Your responsibilities
  • During the 18-24 months trainee program, you will develop a deep understanding of Uniper’s business, its value drivers, and the business environment.
  • You will learn from experts in various fields, build a network, and work on your own projects, where you can contribute your ideas.
  • You will contribute to our active trainee community, receive many training courses and development opportunities, and network with the trainee community.
  • You will start in HSSE for the first six months of your trainee program and then rotate flexibly upon your individual career development path and interests across the organization. You design your individual placement plan and receive support from your mentor.
  • In your home unit, HSSE, you will contribute to the implementation of Uniper’s sustainability strategic plan, support strategy development, track performance, and monitor sustainability projects to drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with sustainability commitments.
Your profile
  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, sustainability management, engineering or similar fields.
  • First practical experience gained through internships or working student activities, ideally including intercultural experiences.
  • Motivation to learn and develop in an international environment, taking the initiative and proactivity while working in various teams.
  • Communicaion skills and the ambition and skills to network among different stakeholders paired with analytical skills.
  • English language skills are required, German is a plus.

In addition to some predefined stations, you can flexibly combine other departments that you would like to pass through and work in an international environment with team members from over 80 countries. In coordination with your team and the requirements of your tasks, you can choose how, when and where you want to work. Based in Germany, the program gives you a deep insight into our day-to-day business and helps you to explore your personal strengths. You will also have the opportunity to bring in and enhance your interpersonal and teamwork skills. Individual mentoring and a buddy from day one will ensure you have the best possible foundation for the next step in your career at Uniper. We are fortunate that, on average, more than 95 % of all trainees remain with our team after their program and take on an appropriate follow-up position.
