We are seeking a talentedRadio / High Frequency Engineerto join our Nova Sky Stories Munich team! We are a passionate group of people with a hands‑on approach collaborating closely to keep improving and bring awe to live audiences. As part of Nova Sky Stories, we work together with other Nova designers and colleagues around the world. Sharing creativity, technical knowledge and passion for storytelling.As a Radio / High Frequency Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:Design, develop, test and improve RF systems in typical ISM bands, UWB, and radar.Develop and integrate radio modems and communication links.Work with FMCW radar and Doppler signal processing.Antenna selection, antenna design and antenna placement.Perform RF system simulations, link budget analysis, and signal integrity evaluations.Develop calibration, synchronization, and filtering algorithms for RF and radar systems.Collaborate with embedded and electronics teams to integrate RF subsystems.Debug and optimize RF hardware and firmware in close cooperation with cross‑functional teams.Conduct lab and field measurements.Develop robust solutions based on various modulation schemesCoordinate, lead and supervise radio certification for multiple countries.Support system validation, flight operations, and testing campaigns.You’ll need to have:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.Strong understanding of RF system design, antenna theory, and signal propagation.Experience with radar systems (FMCW, Doppler, pulse) and related signal processing.Familiarity with radio modems, modulation schemes, and spread spectrum techniques (FHSS, DSSS).Hands‑on experience with UWB and other localization technologies (AOA, PDOA, TDOA).Experience with embedded development (C Code) and microcontroller integration (STM32 or similar).Skilled with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, VNA, signal generator, oscilloscope).Knowledge of PCB design and RF layout techniques; Altium Designer is a plus.Understanding of wireless standards and communication protocols (LoRa, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.).Experience with international radio certification, especially CE and FCC.Structured and transparent approach to problem solving using JIRA, Slack, and similar tools.Drone or autonomous system experience is a plus.
