This Position reports to

Service Team Leader

Role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a technical expert for multiple products that are developed and maintained by the local organization. Each day, you will act as the primary contact for Product Management and will support on product-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by driving the technical direction of development (e.g., acting as product owner in an agile team) and by organizing product maintenance. Additionally, you are responsible for carrying out small development assignments yourself.

This role is contributing to the Local Products portfolio for Energy Industries in Germany. Main stakeholders are internal and external customers.

• Providing input regarding product technology content or development based on a solid understanding of ABB's technology landscape, state-of-the-art external technology, and current or future customer need.
• Contributing actively to the quality of products, meeting functional and non-functional (e.g., performance, cost) requirements.
• Driving the complete development process, ensuring quality and timely delivery across all phases.
• Maintaining comprehensive product documentation and sales information that meets ABB's quality standards.
• Keeping in touch with all relevant stakeholders, acting as the primary contact for all product-related requests.

Qualifications

• You are highly skilled in modern development practices, development planning and product lifecycle management, and you enjoy working with industrial automation and digital technology in the electrical engineering and process automation sector.
• Have advanced skills in technical product development and management, ideally working as a Product Owner or Technical Expert with automation solutions and related technologies.
• You are capable of carrying out small development assignments yourself.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of ABB's technology landscape
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• You are passionate about providing solutions and clear documentation and ensuring product quality and compliance, both as a developer and as a product manager
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• You are at ease communicating in German and English
