A defense technology startup is seeking a Founders Associate to partner with the CEO in driving strategic hiring initiatives. The Founders Associate will be the CEO’s trusted partner across strategy and operations, driving high-impact strategic and operational initiatives across our defence drone-tech startup.
🎯 How you will make an impact:
Own end-to-end hiring for highly specialized roles across engineering, defense operations, and corporate functions
Act as a trusted hiring partner to founders and senior leaders, shaping role profiles and realistic hiring strategies in a defense-tech context
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of talent within the German defense ecosystem
Proactively source niche profiles through direct search, industry networks, and referrals
Navigate defense-sector constraints (security requirements, compliance, sensitivity) with confidence and discretion
Represent the company credibly to candidates, communicating mission, impact, and technical depth
Continuously refine interview processes, assessments, and hiring decisions based on data and feedback
✅ What you need to be successful:
4+ years of hands‑on recruitment experience, ideally as an in‑house recruiter or talent partner
Mandatory: Proven experience within the German defense sector (industry, government‑adjacent, or defense contractors)
Strong understanding of technical and non‑technical roles in high‑security, regulated environments
Demonstrated success hiring hard‑to‑find, senior, or security‑sensitive profiles
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
Self‑driven, structured, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup environment
Passion for building teams that work on mission‑critical technology with real‑world impact
