SQL DBA with LifePro with Life Insurance - Domain Remote

Job Responsibilities

NOTE – Experience with Life Insurance domain is MUST with LifePro experience.

Job Requirements

• Must have 10+ years SQL Server DBA working experience with SQL Server.
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced on the different versions of SQL Server (2005, 2008). Knowledge of SQL Server 2012 and possible benefits to the existing environments.
• Must have skills and experience in Database data management – backups, ETL, and archive using either native SQL Server backup tools.
• Experienced using internal diagnostic and maintenance tools such as DBCC and internal SP functions as well as SQLDiag, SQL Profiler and third party diagnostics tools.
• Demonstrate Knowledge of Partitioning Architecture.
• Management of multiple processing schedules and notification strategies.
• Strong skills in T-SQL, DOS, PowerShell, tuning and debugging. Experience with SQL Server Manager, Visual Studio, DTS/SSIS and other SQL Server tools including but not limited to Profiler & SQL Server Command Line Utilities.
• Experience with SQL Server database replication and mirroring.
• Experienced in security/access strategies for a wide pool of user groups and developers with different access requirements.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with high demands and short deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize heavy workload with minimum supervision.
• Highly adaptable with ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment.
• Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with development and infrastructure teams in doing database design, changes and enhancement to new and existing applications.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutions.

Not Required, but Preferred

• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or higher certificates on SQL Server 2005, 2005, 2012.
• Experience in data modeling and metadata management.
