A healthcare provider in Sweden is seeking a Specialist in Psychiatry to join a well-qualified cross-professional team. This role involves investigating and treating mental health issues in a stimulating environment, primarily in both outpatient and inpatient care settings. Applicants must hold a Specialist exam in Psychiatry recognized in the EU and have at least three years of relevant experience. Competitive salary ranges from 85,000 to 95,000 SEK, plus additional benefits including language courses and relocation assistance.
We are looking for Specialist in Psychiatry, South Sweden.
Place of work
Adult Psychiatry Ward at a Central Hospital in the southernmost part in Sweden.
Requirements for education
Specialist exam in Psychiatry from within the EU or education recognized in an EU-country plus at least three years of experience as working as a specialist in that country.
Required experience
Duties are standard specialist duties in all areas of psychiatry and on-call services. High clinical competence, experience in working in smaller hospitals and broad expertise are desirable.
Duties
Your duties include investigating and treating mental illnesses and syndromes as well as other tasks based on the needs of the business. You will be part of a well-qualified cross-professional team where daily work is done both team-based and in separate professional groups. You are offered a stimulating environment where there are great opportunities to influence the work at the clinic. Today they work according to the standardized care processes, but the business has ongoing improvement work in various areas, which gives you great opportunities for development in your professional role.
You need to be prepared to work in both out-and inpatient care. Not any special focus is desirable, but in the operation, you need to be quite broad, they don't have so many sub-specialized individual receptions/units, but you can have excellence in a specific area and be part of a smaller team. However, the base remains in the so-called general/specialist psychiatric reception when we are talking about outpatient care. As far as departments are concerned, they currently have two units, one of which is of a more general psychiatric nature and one with places for more high-intensity patients in an acute stage and it is closely linked to the emergency department.
Working hours
Daytime 8-16.30 and in addition to that, there is on-call duty in the evenings, nights, weekdays and weekends where the shifts look different.
Salary for staff with Swedish legitimation
85.000 – 95.000 SEK depending on professional background and number of years of experience as a specialist. Later, as a consultant doctor, you can earn even 100-110.000 SEK or more.
