Job Responsibilities
- Identify and lead Lean Management Initiatives with suppliers to enable sustainable improvements, resulting in cost savings and avoidance.
- Lead continuous improvement programs for suppliers’ performance, including their second-tier suppliers, focusing on achieving 'zero defects'.
- Support the supplier selection process and supplier/parts qualification for production.
- Assist in identifying and implementing corrective and preventive actions for major non-conformities in products and services at suppliers.
- Identify existing or potential opportunities for improvements in quality and costs.
- Monitor supplier performance KPIs, analyze manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints, FMEAs, and other data sources.
- Establish initiatives at suppliers to ensure sufficient improvements are implemented.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and R&D to ensure continuous improvement of products, services, and processes, meeting quality, cost, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct supplier manufacturing process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide technical supplier evaluations for supplier selection based on category and sourcing strategy initiatives.
- Offer technical guidance and expertise regarding manufacturing processes, methods, techniques, and capabilities to both internal teams and suppliers.
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, or Medical Engineering.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
- At least 5 years of experience leading supplier development programs.
- At least 5 years of experience in lean management and quality management.
- Proven experience conducting supplier audits.
- Good knowledge of risk analysis techniques such as DFMEA and PFMEA.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Ability to work autonomously, create and communicate clear strategies and plans, and make decisions in challenging situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
