Our developer team in Berlin provides solutions for our customers to integrate their infrastructure, their tools and their processes with the Emarsys B2C marketing cloud. We build new marketing channels, connectors to third-parties or scalable solutions to provide real‑time information.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development of complex frontend and backend applications in PHP, NodeJS and other languages
• Maintenance of any applications (fixing errors, providing support)
• Testing and handover of own applications to internal stakeholders
• Communicating progress and collecting required inputs via JIRA tickets
• Takes over complex projects assigned by the teamlead directly
• Works with the team lead on software architecture for complex projects
• Supports Software Engineers

YOUR PROFILE

• PHP knowledge with at least 5 years of experience
• Excellent PHP practices (code / layout separation using template engines, Composer, PHPDoc)
• NodeJS knowledge
• React knowledge
• Advanced shell scripting knowledge
• Advanced SQL knowledge (using MySQL, PostgreSQL or Google BigQuery) : index optimizations, multi‑tables SELECTs
• Proficient in using Git features
• Can effectively communicate with peers in English
• Able to write secure and fault tolerant code
• Understands resource requirements of applications
• Ability to break down a complex task into single tasks
• Able to write clean code (easy to read, code assumptions are verified using asserts, consistent error / exception handling)
• Able to understand external software documentation quickly
• Able to deliver a project within a given timeline
• Able to adapt new technologies
• Follows security and quality standards
