Your consulting projects will include integrating data in a virtual manner for operational and/or informational purposes. This involves integration of data sources for a Customer Service Multichannel IT Infrastructure, implementation of Logical Data Warehouses and Virtual Datamarts to enable modern Business Intelligence solutions, Integration Layers for Hadoop-based Data Lakes, and support for Agile Operational Reporting on a diverse Big Data infrastructure.

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Denodo, you play an integral role in the sales of our Data Virtualization software. You will work closely with the sales team to understand clients’ technical and business needs and demonstrate how these can be achieved through our Denodo Platform. You will own the technical dimension of the sales cycle, employing a combination of high technical expertise, communication, and coordination skills to bridge clients and internal Denodo teams effectively.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

1. Design, implement, and execute customer-specific integration projects based on the Denodo Platform.
2. Educate, coach, and support clients during the introduction and ongoing use of the Denodo Platform to ensure high satisfaction.
3. Diagnose and resolve client inquiries related to operating Denodo software products in their environment.
4. Participate in problem escalation and call prevention initiatives to increase client and team efficiency.
5. Contribute to knowledge management activities and promote best practices for project execution.
6. Implement product demos and pilots to showcase Data Virtualization in enterprise scenarios, cloud deployments, and Big Data projects.
7. Provide timely, prioritized feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support, and Development regarding client requirements and issues.

Desired Skills & Experience

• University Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (Bachelor, Master, Diploma)
• Understanding of Data Integration techniques
• Solid knowledge of SQL, relational and analytical database management, and software development patterns.
• Technical skills including Java development, JDBC, XML, Web Service APIs, and version control systems (e.g., SVN, git).
• Basic experience with Big Data, NoSQL, and InMemory environments is advantageous.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX server environments.
• Personal qualities: curiosity, self-enablement, active listening, creativity, teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience in leveraging Employee Advocacy and Social Media for networking and brand visibility is a plus.
