Dexter health is an AI‑first healthtech startup. We build Dexter Mobile, a native app that removes admin work from nurses so they can focus on patient care.

As Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) - Remote at dexter health, you own the UX and UI of Dexter Mobile. The product is live and used by thousands of nurses every day, and you will help us improve existing workflows while shipping new features fast.

This is a remote role.

Tasks

As Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) - Remote, you will:

• Own end‑to‑end UX and UI for Dexter Mobile from concept to shipped features.
• Redesign and simplify key nursing workflows such as documentation, shift planning and handovers.
• Create flows, wireframes, prototypes and final UI in Figma for iOS and Android.
• Build and maintain a lightweight design system for consistent, fast development.
• Work with founders and engineers day‑to‑day to ship quickly, using short iteration cycles.
• Use user feedback and analytics tools like Mixpanel, UXCam or Smartlook to find UX issues and improve the product.
• Run simple user tests to validate ideas before and after release.
• Document design decisions clearly so the team understands the rationale.
• Optional: support basic marketing visuals when needed, without shifting focus from product.
• Optional: contribute to early web UI/UX and Webflow work if you have experience.

Requirements

We are looking for a hands‑on senior designer who can own mobile product design.

Must have

• 3–5+ years as Product Designer or UI/UX Designer on digital products.
• Portfolio with 2–3 case studies showing problem, process and shipped results.
• Strong experience designing mobile apps for iOS and/or Android.
• Advanced Figma skills: components, auto‑layout and basic design systems.
• Strong UX fundamentals: flows, IA, interaction patterns and visual hierarchy.
• Experience working closely with engineers; our mobile team uses Flutter/Dart.
• Comfortable running simple user tests and iterating based on feedback.
• Clear communication in English and comfort working in a fast‑moving startup.

Nice to have

• Experience with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, UXCam, Smartlook).
• Experience as the first or early designer in a startup.
• Web UI/UX experience and basic Webflow skills.
• Rapid prototyping with no‑code, low‑code or simple coding.
• Interest in using AI tools to speed up design and research.
