Job Description

Your mission:

As Senior Portfolio Manager at Enpal, you will oversee one of the largest renewable energy portfolios in Europe, managing solar and storage assets that are growing rapidly. In this role, you will have direct contact with investors and lenders, influence strategic financing decisions, and ensure portfolio performance and compliance at scale. Your work will directly impact the company’s growth, value creation, and the financial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize our solar and storage portfolios, ensuring compliance with covenants, timely payments, and flawless reporting to lenders and stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for lenders, equity partners, and senior management, delivering clear financial analyses and strategic recommendations.
• Drive portfolio performance by initiating and implementing strategic measures to maximize value creation.
• Monitor complex loan agreements, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Review and validate financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with investor and board expectations.
• Partner closely with Controlling, Treasury, and Cash Collection teams to safeguard data integrity and cashflow reliability.
• Contribute actively to the structuring of new financing vehicles by leveraging your portfolio expertise and partnering with the deal and origination teams.
• Mentor junior portfolio managers and contribute to building best practices within the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CMA) a strong plus.
• Strong track record in either Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Structured Finance, or Asset Management.
• Proven ability to manage complex financing structures, cashflow‑intensive assets, and lender relationships.
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., German GAAP, IFRS) and experience with loan and covenant management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English. Fluency in German is a strong plus.
