The role

Are you passionate about building food safety standards and driving product quality? We are looking for someone with technical experience to drive food safety and quality compliance.

Our Food Safety & Quality Assurance team is recruiting and we are looking for an experienced and highly driven Food Safety professional to join our international team as a Senior FSQA Manager (f/m/d/x). You will work within a team based across Europe to drive food safety and quality compliance with our dry food suppliers, and work collaboratively with our procurement, sourcing, supply chain and distribution centre teams. The role will share best practice, create standardized ways of working, drive improvement in food safety & quality and lead on various strategic projects to ensure we delight our customers.

What you’ll do
  • You perform on-site supplier visits and audits to manage approvals and drive strategic improvements in quality, reducing complaints and increasing customer satisfaction
  • Furthermore, you use your expertise and industry knowledge to develop best-practice ways of working with suppliers and internal teams
  • You strategically manage supplier product quality and performance, delivering focused error-reduction initiatives and identifying projects that raise quality and safety standards
  • In addition, you develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • You investigate and manage supplier quality issues, ensuring customer availability and product quality are not compromised through thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Moreover, you take ownership of your category area, achieving KPIs related to out-of-specification deliveries, customer complaints, and compliance metrics
  • Additionally, you manage and coordinate the onboarding of new suppliers and products, ensuring full compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standards
What you’ll bring
  • At least 4 years of experience in a quality or food safety management role within the food industry; experience in the dry food sector is highly desirable
  • Proven expertise in auditing food manufacturers; additional food quality and safety qualifications (e.g. HACCP, internal auditing) are considered a strong advantage
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel, with up to 50% of time spent at suppliers, distribution centres, and the base office
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving under time pressure; confident decision-making and ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Motivation to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple competing workstreams; openness to collaborating with suppliers and teams across several HelloFresh markets (UK, DACH, France, Nordics, BNL)
