Job Description

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you lead medium to large, complex global IT projects from initiation to close‑out. You ensure compliance with Fugro's policies and standards, manage stakeholder relationships, and balance cost, time, benefits, and risks. In this role, you will also drive process improvements in IT project management.

You will apply Fugro's Project Delivery Framework, including stage gates and sign‑offs, and report to the Global Applications Deployment Manager with support from the PMO. Success means delivering projects on time, within budget and scope, enabling the business to operate independently in new applications, and ensuring adherence to Fugro's Global Information Security and delivery standards.

Your role
  • You create project plans including milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources;
  • You manage project organisation and governance: implement IT applications adhering to business processes and supported by IT operations with documented localisations and user procedures;
  • You ensure IT projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget;
  • You prepare continuous project status reports and conduct post‑project evaluations, perform quality control throughout the project lifecycle to maintain expected standards and risk management to minimise project related risks;
  • You lead a cross‑functional team to meet stakeholder expectations and project deliverables;
  • You refine and improve the Global Project Delivery Framework in IT PMO;
  • You collaborate with Internal Audit to address IT related risks and findings and with Information Security to safeguard that enterprise applications comply with amongst others all applicable laws and regulations.
Your track record
  • You have a BSc degree in a relevant discipline and preferably certifications such as Prince2 or PMP;
  • You have a background in project management, information technology, business administration or a related field;
  • You have 7+ years' experience have in an international project‑based company and/or related industries and/or top‑tier IT consultancy companies in similar profiles;
  • You possess Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and resources is a prerequisite;
  • You have the ability to understand high level software and systems and are a self‑starter who is able to take ownership and initiative and with extensive change management experience;
  • You possess excellent communication skills on a technical and non‑technical level and able to collaborate across functions and organisational levels (business management, project management, stakeholders).
