A leading provider of property loss control services, TÜV SÜD seeks an experienced consultant to assess risks and develop recommendations for clients. Candidates should have over 10 years in fire protection consulting, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage projects effectively. This role involves high technical expertise, extensive interaction with clients and upper management, as well as potential travel of up to 50%.

Surveys - Conduct property loss control surveys to evaluate property and business interruption exposures at client facilities based on NFPA Standards and other relevant standards.
Develop recommendations based on standards, including loss estimates before and after implementing recommendations.
Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
Report and assess building construction, occupancy, and hazards (including natural and special hazards).
Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as the Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
Provide training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource.
Services include training, manual and program development, and regulatory interpretation.
Prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback, and compile stewardship reports.
Work involves high technical expertise and direct contact with upper management, including risk and financial managers.
Maintain professional conduct and excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and management.
Provide project management services, including site visits, plan reviews, and presentations.
Manage work actively and efficiently in the database.
Functional Requirements
Respond to client and internal communications.
Conduct fieldwork, report writing, consulting, and plan reviews.
Review workloads and adjust accordingly.
Physical requirements include climbing ladders, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., stooping, crouching, crawling, and traversing catwalks.
Travel may be up to 50%, including out-of-district and overseas travel if necessary.
Certifications may include Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), or working towards these.
Minimum 10+ years of consulting experience in fire and property loss control.
Experience in servicing major accounts.
Ability to draw sound conclusions based on data and standards.
Communicate information clearly in reports, letters, and emails.
Self-manage workload effectively.
Recognized technical expertise.
