A day in a life of a Senior Digital Application Engineer

• As a Senior Digital Application Engineer (m/f/d) you will deploy AI/ML models and solution packages to enhance process control, as well as optimizing predictive maintenance and quality processes.
• Collaborating with engineering and production teams, you will embed intelligence into manufacturing lines to drive innovation and efficiency.
• You will advance our smart factory initiatives by integrating AI-driven intelligence and enabling seamless OT/IT integration.
• Ensuring data governance and compliance with food safety and cybersecurity standards will be a critical part of your role.
• You will translate business needs into technical solutions using cloud-native tools, while also scouting for external solution partners to enhance our capabilities.

What will make you successful

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, demonstrating your strong academic foundation in this area.
• Several years of experience in data engineering or AI/ML within manufacturing environments.
• Your proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms equips you to tackle complex data challenges and drive innovative solutions.
• You have hands‑on experience with AI platforms and industrial data systems, allowing you to effectively contribute to our technology initiatives.
• Your project management, teamwork and stakeholder management skills align with your strong communication skills.
• Also, you have full proficiency level in English – other languages are a plus.
