Jobbeschreibung
Your mission

As a Senior Buyer (m/f/d), you will ensure the efficient procurement of materials, technical components, and services to support both production operations and CAPEX-related initiatives. You will manage procurement transactions independently, oversee supplier relationships, ensure contract compliance, and actively support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. The role includes contributing to process improvements across the entire group and its international subsidiaries.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Independent processing of procurement transactions for materials, spare parts, operating supplies, and technical services – especially in the production environment
  • Entry, approval, and management of purchase orders using SAP ERP, including end-to-end monitoring of order status and delivery deadlines
  • Responsible for purchasing technical components, machinery, and plant-related services for both existing and new facilities
  • Close collaboration with technical departments, engineering, and project teams to clarify specifications and define procurement strategies
  • Evaluation of supplier proposals from a technical, commercial, and logistical standpoint
  • Purchasing support for capital investment projects (e.g., new equipment, facility upgrades, infrastructure development) in close coordination with internal project teams
  • Preparation, negotiation, and administration of procurement contracts related to CAPEX activities
  • Ensuring consistent documentation of procurement-related project activities in compliance with internal standards
  • Conducting competitive bidding, cost analyses, and supplier negotiations, particularly for high-volume or long-term procurement needs
  • Negotiation, conclusion, and management of framework agreements, service contracts, and leasing agreements in collaboration with legal and technical departments
  • Ongoing development and qualification of suppliers, including supplier evaluation and long-term relationship management
  • Creation of purchasing reports, spend analyses, and supplier performance metrics for internal departments and executive management
  • Support of budget planning with reliable purchasing insights
  • Maintenance of procurement-related master data in the SAP system
  • Proactive contribution to the improvement and digitalization of procurement processes
  • Involvement in cross-departmental initiatives, particularly in the areas of process automation and ERP integration
  • Leveraging market and supplier knowledge to continuously develop procurement best practices
Your profile
  • Successfully completed university degree (e.g. in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar)
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in international procurement, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven experience with technical sourcing, especially related to production equipment and CAPEX-related investments
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in high-volume procurement scenarios
  • Sound knowledge of contract and supplier management
  • Proficient in SAP ERP systems, with hands-on experience and ideally exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementation or rollout
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Proactive, structured, and independent working style with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and hierarchies
  • International experience in procurement or project environments is highly desirable – particularly with international suppliers, cross-border contracts, or multilingual negotiations
Why us?
  • Responsibility for a challenging and strategic key role in our global procurement activities
  • Direct impact on CAPEX-related decisions and procurement process improvements
  • A flexible, hybrid work environment including 50% Home office
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
  • Dynamic and multicultural work environment with significant autonomy and creative freedom
  • Opportunity for professional growth and development through targeted training programs
  • Exciting challenges in a global network with international collaboration
