Your mission

§ Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with your own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals in challenging drug discovery projects within the field of insect cell culture.

§ You will be responsible for the development, execution, and optimization of expression strategies for recombinant protein production in insect cells, aiming to reach protein amounts and quality suitable for structural studies (cryo-EM, crystallography).

§ Your main focus will be a high-throughput small- (<10 mL) and mid-scale (<500 mL) screening pipeline for our insect cell expression platform, as well as supporting these efforts for E. coli.

§ Preparation of all relevant project documentation (e.g., SOPs, technical reports, project plans, scientific presentations), including review and training.

§ Presentation of scientific results and effective communication of content to colleagues, customers, and business partners.

Your profile

§ Proficient in insect cell culture for recombinant protein expression; experience with other cell systems is a plus.

§ PhD in biochemistry or a related field with an excellent proven track record.

§ Ideally 1-2 years of working experience in the pharmaceutical industry regarding small- or mid-scale screening development for insect cells.

§ Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

§ Positive and open personality to understand other opinions and contribute to productive project discussions with internal and customer project teams.

§ Independent and service-oriented work style with outstanding team spirit, organization, and communication skills.
