Product Specialist Equity (f / m / d)

As a Product Specialist Equity (f / m / d), you will support the global Equity group which manages more than €140 billion in assets. You will report to the Head of Product Specialists Equity and work closely with the Product Specialists team as well as the Investment team to serve as an advocate for AllianzGI’s equity franchise with a particular focus on our systematic equity offering.

This role generates client value by being the interface between Portfolio Management and Distribution as well as being active in Distribution activities. Both excellent product knowledge and investment strategy insights, translated into clear messages persuade clients and contribute to sales revenue generation. You will be deeply involved in a multitude of organisational and administrative tasks adding scalability to the investment platform. Besides providing in-depth product information, the role also includes the requirement to present in both German and English to internal and external audiences in business meetings or at larger conferences.

This position will be based in Frankfurt .

What you will do

• Work closely with the investment teams to serve as an internal and external advocate for our equity strategies with a focus on our systematic equity offering
• Originate product information with focus on the investment process, performance explanation, portfolio holdings and illustration of the investment case
• Act as the external voice of the respective investment team and be the interface between investment professionals and the Distribution and marketing professionals
• Substitute the fund manager at marketing events, as well as client and consultant meetings
• Own and lead the external and internal communication of investment related content for marketing purposes
• Actively write and articulate portfolio relevant commentaries to support the product presentation of Distribution and marketing colleagues
• Provide training to educate the sales force in the required technical details to present the investment strategy to clients
• Stay abreast with the strategy's performance in context to relevant competitor products and explain performance scenarios relative to the market environment and peers
• Be involved in the RFP process, delivering the required portfolio and investment strategy-related content to the RFP team and client service entities
• Actively participate in product development initiatives

What you bring

• 10+ years of professional experience in portfolio management or analyst role, retail or institutional sales, product management, product specialist, or an institutional client service role
• Post-graduate degree or global equivalent in a relevant field desired; CFA, CEFA or CIIA qualified or similar qualifications preferred
• Specific experience in the asset class related to position, here Equities (Systematic / Fundamental)
• Strong written and verbal command of German and English, additional languages a plus
• Excellent communication skills, able to tailor messages for a diverse range of audiences and to clearly articulate investment content
• Experience in working in a large financial institution and strong networking ability with Stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated success in balancing ambiguous interests and needs to achieve client satisfaction and sales revenue
• You are a coach and influencer with intellectual and cultural curiosity, who thrives in a collaborative environment
• You are ambitious and well-organized and can work independently as well as in a team environment
• You are a self-starter and have a strong can-do attitude with internal and external clients and responsive to their needs
• You are also an IT literate, experienced user of common software applications and able to acquire new IT-related skills
• Experience with Microsoft CoPilot
• Available to travel for professional duties
