Summary:

The Product Development Engineer role focuses on the development and optimization of PP compounds, including recipe maintenance and application testing. Key responsibilities include advising customers on product use, maintaining quality guidelines, and supporting the introduction of new recipes and testing methods. Ideal candidates should have experience in application technology, especially in injection moulding, along with strong analytical and teamwork skills. The role:

In this position you will strengthen the development department and at the same time be part of a diverse and interesting area of responsibility incorporated.


Your tasks:

• Process development tasks for the new and further development of PP compounds.
• Recipe maintenance and recipe optimization through application testing.
• Advice to customers about possible uses of the products through to the introduction of the new ones.
• Support customers with sampling, resolving complaints, etc.
• Determination of quality guidelines, including when developing new products.
• Preparation of technological documents.
• Cost optimization by using suitable starting materials for recipes.
• Advising purchasing on the selection and procurement of raw materials.
• Support in the introduction of new test procedures, test methods and implementation of practical work in the technical centre and test laboratory.
• Supporting the introduction of new recipes on the system.


Your profile:

• Experience in the application technology of compounds, ideally in the area of injection moulding (advantageous).
• Initial experience in recipe creation and application technology is desirable.
• Proficient use of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High level of analytical thinking and interdisciplinary problem solving.
• Flexible, dynamic, enjoy working in a team, motivated and reliable.
• Willingness to participate in business travel when required.
• Fluent English is required. Knowledge of German would be advantageous.
