The team is looking for a Principal Product Designer to lead the evolution of our Ratings & Reviews experience within our e-commerce platform as well as improve some of our major conversion and growth drivers on web and apps. This is a unique opportunity to shape a high-impact area, directly influencing customer trust, user generated content, engagement, and ultimately, our business growth.We aim to make our digital products the best possible expression of our brand, and continually raise the quality bar of our user interfaces. You will be ensuring design quality across all facets of UI as well as utilising our Design System.

What We'd Love You To Do (and Love Doing)

• Plan strategically as a partner with engineering, product and brand to define the future of the e-commerce platform at Zalando
• Create high-quality interactive prototypes to communicate your work. Use user research and data to inform your reasonings
• Represent the team by sharing your work and presenting cross-functionally. Be able to precisely articulate design rationale and goals
• Be a key contributor in creating consistent customer experiences across our customer journeys
• Contribute to the Zalando Product Design community by sharing best practices, mentoring and teaching colleagues, crafting best-in-class solutions, bar-raising in design reviews, and sparking inspiring conversations

• You lead by example with inspiring UI craft, prototyping skills and creating delightful user experiences
• You have a solid range of design skills in your ever growing toolkit – including user research, workshop facilitation, UX and UI design – to ensure fluid and holistic customer journeys.
• You have fostered partnerships with senior stakeholders and supported broader product teams in applying systems around individual product constraints.
• You are a strong cross-functional partner having worked closely with engineers, a great communicator, and above all, you approach problems holistically
• You are able to precisely articulate design rationale and present to diverse stakeholders from all across the company
• You understand metrics for success and leverage data to continuously iterate on designs that drive measurable growth and engagement.
• You’re experienced with accessibility and motion design
