Business Transformation & Architecture (BT&A) is the management and architecture consulting unit within SAP Customer Services & Delivery, helping customers leverage technology and digitalization. We innovate, develop solutions, and translate ideas into business results, aiming to enhance technical implementations and business transformations with sustainable impact.

Within BT&A, our regional SAP Enterprise Architects – RISE team supports industry-specific transformation journeys. In the public sector, digitalization enhances transparency, citizen empowerment, and service delivery while meeting regulatory and social responsibility requirements. In utilities, transformation supports sustainability, compliance, and modernization, reimagining grid management and customer billing with scalable SAP solutions for a greener future.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As a Principal Enterprise Architect RISE for Public & Energy - MU Germany (f/m/d), you will guide customers through digital transformations using SAP technologies, promote the RISE with SAP initiative, and accelerate SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) adoption.

You will develop comprehensive reference Enterprise Architectures—RISE Models—aligned with customer business objectives, leveraging internal and external information. You will work with multidisciplinary teams of experts and increase customer value by activities such as:

1. Developing reference architectures and transformation plans following SAP best practices
2. Providing architecture guidance using RISE with SAP methodology and Clean Core principles to maximize cloud benefits
3. Identifying innovative use cases aligned with strategic and operational goals
4. Advising management on architecture and transformation strategies
5. Mitigating technical adoption risks
6. Aligning customers and partners with SAP’s Clean Core strategy to accelerate BTP adoption

YOUR PROFILE

We seek dynamic, advisory-minded professionals from multinational environments capable of driving standards, organizational change, and innovation.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Informatics, or comparable education
• 9-11+ years of practical experience advising management and working as an enterprise architect or transformation advisor in multinational settings
• Proven experience in enterprise business transformation, stakeholder alignment, and architecture roadmaps
• Knowledge of the public and energy industries
• Experience delivering at least one full SAP implementation, from process design to post-GoLive support and optimization
• S/4HANA technical and/or functional knowledge
• Professional certifications (e.g., SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework, SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect, TOGAF) are a plus
• Solid understanding of SAP’s strategy and product portfolio
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication skills, including engaging with senior management and C-level executives
• Strategic mindset, continuous learning, and business acumen
• Flexibility and adaptability in new environments
• Fluent in English and German
