Overview
Network Services (NNSI) DC Power Installation Technician. Location: Multiple Cities, USA. This job requires travel; per diem and other travel expenses are in addition to base pay. Individuals residing in Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, and Iowa are welcome to apply.

DC Power Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain a safe, clean working environment at all times.
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups and perform inventory checks of project equipment and materials.
- Delivery and installation of components including relay racks, cabinets, battery stands, auxiliary framing, and cable racks in a central office/data center environment.
- Delivery and installation of BDFB’s, DC Power plants (distribution, rectification, termination bars), batteries (wet cell and VRLA), Power system monitors and controllers in a central office/data center environment.
- Cable running, forming, stitching, and connecting cold and hot type connections.
- Commission, test and turn up multiple manufacturers’ equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering packages, including blueprint-style drawings.
- Complete and submit project “in progress” and “project completion” paperwork.
- Ability to communicate and articulate well with customers, engineers, project managers and other business units.
- Possess the ability to track hours and cost on projects to maintain revenue and margin requirements.
*Service and safety affecting hot work is only to be performed by a Level 4 lead installer.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience and familiarity with industry standards equivalent to Telcordia GR 1275.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to transport project material via company supplied vehicles. (Additional incentive added for transport and logistics of batteries)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs safely and unassisted.
- Must be able to travel within the assigned region based on home location.
- Must be a reliable self-starter with good communication skills.
Compensation
$22 - $35 per hour based on experience.
