ABOUT THE ROLE
As an MRI Application Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging advanced medical imaging technology with real-world clinical application. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth installation and integration of our AI-powered products at customer sites, including MRI protocol optimization and network setup.
Beyond the technical onboarding, you’ll support clinicians and technical teams in troubleshooting, and collaborate closely with our Machine Learning and Data teams to enhance product quality and performance. This role combines hands-on work with imaging systems, customer interaction, and contributions to cutting-edge AI development—making it ideal for MRI experts looking to expand into the MedTech and AI space.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take the lead in on-site product installations, including MRI scan parameter optimization and network configuration, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting technical issues and work proactively to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term success.
- Collaborate with our Machine Learning team to support the training of AI models for detecting and diagnosing medical conditions from MRI and CT data — or assist our Data team in maintaining and improving our medical imaging database.
- Work within a modern software infrastructure built on Docker and AWS, contributing to a robust and scalable tech environment.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field – or at least 5 years of hands-on experience with.
- MRI systems or medical devices.
- Strong foundation in MRI physics and pulse sequence development.
- Practical experience working with DICOM, PACS, and Windows/Linux.
- networking environments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate, assess, and resolve complex technical issues (e.g. MRI image quality problems).
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1 level in each).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of your working time for on-site installations and support
