We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Logistics Specialist to join our German Team. This position will communicate with HQ teams in China on a daily basis.

This role is highly collaborative and requires drive, organisation, and foundational logistics support skills. You will work closely with different business sectors and deliver logistics activities to support business growth. You are expected to support workflow optimisation related to logistics. The successful candidate must be willing to commute to Munich office on daily basis.

Job description:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation, packaging, and shipment of biological samples
• Responsible for the customs and shipping documentation of all shipments outbound from UK Lab
• Arrange and prepare shipments of hard disks, marketing materials and any other needs when required
• Assist in the copying and auditing of genetic sequencing data onto hard disks for transfer
• Assist in customs and shipment troubleshooting for our European/UK colleagues and clients
• Procurement and purchasing for UK office, including logistics materials
• Maintenance and reporting of relevant logistic statistics
• Liaise with courier companies to ensure our systems and processes are up to date
• Use own initiative to improve processes and methods within the role to be more efficient

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, biological sciences or other relevant fields
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent computer skills working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Enthusiastic and flexible
• Willing to contribute to and support others as part of a team effort
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload effectively

Desirable

• Mandarin speaking/reading/writing (fluent)
• Previous experience working in logistics or customs related role
