The impact you will make

In your role, you will ensure that every critical component reaches our scientists and engineers exactly when and where it’s needed. You will be responsible for the inbound and outbound logistics and for maintaining a smooth internal material flow between several international facilities. By keeping our supply chain efficient and reliable, you will help ensure that complex laser systems and fusion experiments can run without delay.

You will have the opportunity to visit the facilities and contribute directly to the successful preparation of each experimental campaign. Beyond daily operations, you will play a key role in building, running, and continuously improving our warehouse management procedures. Through your ideas and initiatives, you will directly reduce efforts and costs, strengthen collaboration across teams, and help accelerate the path towards fusion energy.

Your responsibilities

• Ownership and responsibilities of goods receipt, warehouse management, inventory and in-time shipment of equipment
• Drive operational logistics activities prior to an experimental campaign, including:
  • Packing, documentation, shipping and point of contact for external service partners
  • Responsibility of return to storage of equipment after the experiment
• Implementation and development of digital and tracking and tracing procedures, including labeling of items and storage locations
• Ongoing optimization and re-ordering of storage equipment, tools and packaging material
• Onboarding of scientists and engineers to use implemented processes
• Travel to experimental sites to ensure equipment is delivered and sorted and if needed to assist the team in installation and setup
• Responsibility of stock items and re-ordering in case of reaching the minimum stock quantity (e.g. lab and safety equipment, Fasteners etc.)
• Close collaboration with Purchasing team on improving the oder-2-pay process and in case of quality complaints and following-up parcel deliveries

What you bring

• Proven experience of goods receipt, warehouse management and transport coordination.
• Precise work, especially when recording materials and documentation
• Basic knowledge of (electro-) mechanical systems, electrics or materials to handle items accordingly sensitive
• Experience in storing dangerous goods
• Ability to work in an dynamic and growing start-up environment
• Ability to act pragmatically in case of delays or in time critical situations
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on hands‑on tasks
• Fluency in English and German with excellent communication skills and a structured working style

What sets you apart

• Experience in working with vacuum equipment and in cleanroom environments
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage
• Forklift handling experience
• Crane operation license/experience
• Export control regulation experience
