Lead Engineer (Backend – Java) – Hamburg

We are looking for you as a Lead Engineer (f / m / d)

Responsibilities

• Guide and inspire a talented engineering team.
• Shape the technical vision of our Agent Platform.
• Define and align technical goals with measurable objectives.
• Lead the full DevOps lifecycle from architecture design to deployment and optimization.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders such as Product Management, Design, and C‑Level executives.
• Act as a coach and mentor to engineers, supporting their professional growth.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a Lead Software Engineering role focused on Backend Engineering within an agile environment.
• Strong experience in modern technology stacks of high complexity and scale; distributed systems requiring high performance and reliability.
• Expert knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, relational database design, and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Deep understanding of modern cloud‑based backend architectures (GCP preferred).
• Passionate about developing people and helping them reach their full potential.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
