ROLE AVAILABLE IN FRANKFURT OR BERLIN

We are supporting a fast-growing consultancy that specialises in security, risk, and compliance advisory services for the financial services sector. With a strong reputation among banks and financial institutions, the firm is expanding its team to meet increasing demand driven by evolving regulations and industry standards.

This role is positioned for an experienced consultant who can not only deliver high-quality compliance and risk advisory work but also take ownership in shaping engagements, building client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver consulting projects in the areas of IT governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g. BAIT, MaRisk, DORA, ISO 27001)
• Advise financial services clients on the design, implementation, and improvement of policies, frameworks, and control environments
• Work across multiple focus areas, from risk assessments and compliance frameworks to broader IT governance topics
• Act as a trusted advisor for clients, helping them interpret and respond to regulatory demands
• Support business development by building strong client relationships and contributing to proposals or thought leadership
• Lead a small team of junior consultants, helping shape the culture and direction of the team

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in consulting within IT risk, compliance, or governance , ideally with exposure to the financial services sector
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and frameworks (BAIT, MaRisk, DORA, ISO 27001 etc.)
• Ability to work in a broad consulting role , comfortable spanning multiple subject areas rather than specialising too narrowly
• A consultant mindset – proactive, dynamic, and comfortable engaging with clients at different levels
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
