Labor Law Specialist (German Employment Law) (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

As our Labor Law Specialist, you will be the go-to expert on German employment law, ensuring our HR policies, employment contracts, and workplace practices are fully compliant with national regulations. You will play a key role in fostering constructive relationships with employee representatives and supporting strategic workforce decisions.

Your Role in Our Space Mission :

Legal Compliance & Advisory

  • Advise HR and leadership on all aspects of labor la w with the focus on German labor law , Norwegian, Swedish and U.S. knowledge is definitely a plus.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and internal policies.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation. Deduct actions accordingly.

Works Council & Union Relations

  • Serve as a liaison between the company and works councils/unions.
  • Support negotiations and consultations on co-determination matters.
  • Draft and review works agreements.

Contract & Policy Management

  • Draft, review, and update employment contracts and HR policies.
  • Ensure documentation complies with the Written Evidence Act (Nachweisgesetz).

Dispute Resolution & Risk Management

  • Support internal investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Represent the company in labor court proceedings when necessary.
  • Conduct internal training sessions on individual and collective labor law topics.
  • Promote awareness on rights and obligations for both sides, employee s and employer.
