A leading automotive service provider is seeking a qualified technician to perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive automotive knowledge, excellent mechanical skills, and a valid driver's license. Qualifikationen

Summary: Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work.

Responsibilities
  • Examines customer vehicles.
  • Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Estimates cost of repairs.
  • Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Documents services performed.
  • Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
  • Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
  • Requests necessary parts.
  • Effectively utilizes available technologies to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree. Field of Study/Work Experience: Automotive, Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology. Experience: up to 3 years, 3-5 years, or 5+ years.
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License; Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer; State inspection/emissions license; All required manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by HAG; Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests; Completed manufacturer training to perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDIs, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system. Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance required. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, reach, and perform various physical positions.
  • Environment Demands: Duties performed in service area; exposure to loud noises, fumes, and other service conditions; frequent interaction with customers and staff.
  • Verbal and Writing Ability: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and present information to customers and colleagues.
  • Math/Reasoning Abilities: Basic arithmetic and ability to follow technical manuals and standard procedures.
