Summary: Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Examines customer vehicles.
- Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Estimates cost of repairs.
- Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Documents services performed.
- Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
- Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Requests necessary parts.
- Effectively utilizes available technologies to enhance customer experience.
- Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Participates in required training.
- Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
- Complies with Company policies and procedures.
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree. Field of Study/Work Experience: Automotive, Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology. Experience: up to 3 years, 3-5 years, or 5+ years.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
- Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License; Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer; State inspection/emissions license; All required manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by HAG; Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests; Completed manufacturer training to perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDIs, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system. Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
- Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
- Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance required. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, reach, and perform various physical positions.
- Environment Demands: Duties performed in service area; exposure to loud noises, fumes, and other service conditions; frequent interaction with customers and staff.
- Verbal and Writing Ability: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and present information to customers and colleagues.
- Math/Reasoning Abilities: Basic arithmetic and ability to follow technical manuals and standard procedures.
