Location: Berchtesgaden, Germany. Department: Information Technology (IT). Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time. Workplace: Onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the 24/7 functionality of all IT networks and systems in the hotel and staff accommodation
- General IT tasks: configuring software and hardware, setting up networks
- Software engineering: creating programmes for specific applications
- Administration of the IT infrastructure (multimedia systems, printers, internet server, telephone system, backups, etc.)
- User support
- Monitoring data security in accordance with GDPR in collaboration with the data protection specialist
- Responsibility for cyber security in close consultation with Head Office
- Ensuring PCI standards compliance and checking them during penetration tests
- Implementation of IT security measures and compliance tasks
- Initiating, implementing and further developing new projects
- Creating budgets, forecasts and reports
- Acting as the first point of contact for IT topics internally and externally (head office, partners, suppliers)
- Team responsibility for another team member
- Assuming Manager on Duty duties in the hotel in the absence of hotel management
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Vocational IT training or university degree
- Professional experience in a comparable position
- Experience in the international luxury hotel industry desirable, as active in the operational area
- Experience with Opera hotel software and Oracle Simphony desirable
- Structured, solution-oriented work with good prioritisation skills
- Very good organisational and analytical skills
- Affinity for numbers, budgets and reports desirable
- Hands-on mentality
- Very good knowledge of German and English
