Join RWE as a Configuration & Asset Management Specialist. You'll be responsible for overseeing the CI & Asset inventory, managing the CMDB, and improving asset management processes. Your responsibilities
Own, design and maintain the CI&Asset inventory and CMDB with the target to deliver transparency about type, ownership and health status of all IT assets connected to RWEs network
Develop an Configuration&Asset model, identify which CIs need to be managed and controlled as well as the level of detail at which CIs are to be identified. Design and build the CMDB considering the full life cycle of assets and configuration items
Act as an architect to design CMDB structures, table interactions, data flows, data policies, data dependencies/relations & service mapping together with the implementation teams, which are building the foundation for the whole IT value chain and ITIL processes
Own and improve the Configuration & Asset Management processes and provide overarching governance to all stakeholders in IT and business, including technical assessment of requirements
Enable all stakeholders to be empowered to make informed decisions, proactively manage risks and improve service resilience, including cyber security, because of the CMDB.
Cooperate closely with all internal and external IT service providers, and ensure that they have an IT Configuration&Asset management process in place which guarantees complete transparency about all assets connected to RWEs network
Engage with all stakeholders and strategic projects to ensure Configuration&Asset Management can deliver required and data quality and functionality within projected timeframes
Oversee/Own the design, coding and testing of reporting capabilities as needed
Your profile
You have very good ITIL and extensive experience in Configuration&Asset Management knowledge.
You are experienced in managing ServiceNow CMDB and IT-Operation Management (ITOM) structures
You have strong knowledge of IT infrastructure like Software, Hardware and Cloud, as well as experience in Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
You have a relevant IT apprenticeship with several years of experience in IT Service Management
You have the ability to understand and analyze complex issues and to communicate them in a target-group-oriented manner
You work responsibly, carefully, in a structured and independent manner and are not afraid to change things
You are a strong communicator and assertive, but still work in a team-oriented manner
You are fluent in written and spoken German and English
