Overview

The city of Bochum, with a population of around 375,000, is one of the economic and cultural centers of the Ruhr region with a large number of sophisticated scientific, educational and cultural sites as well as many facilities for leisure, sport and recreation.

We are looking for you for the Office of Human Resources Management, Information Technology and Organization as a dedicated IT architect (f / m / d).

Rating : EG 12 TVöD (€ 54,500 - € 85,200 full-time depending on your relevant professional experience) or grade A 13 LBesG (career group 2, 1st entry level) subject to the assessment under civil service law

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of IT architecture strategies (Cloud, SaaS and onPremise) and solutions to drive the digitization of the city administration, also with regard to make or buy decisions.
• Design and implementation of IT systems that are optimally tailored to the requirements of the City of Bochum for IT itself and the City’s specialist departments.
• Preparation of the City of Bochum's IT for a new, even more fail-safe concept for operation, design and adaptation of the applications to this new concept.
• Ensure the integration of new IT solutions into existing systems, taking into account IT security and data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• University or university of applied sciences degree in computer science, business informatics or another IT-related discipline.
• Civil servants: degree from a university or university of applied sciences (Bachelor / FH) with a focus on computer science, business informatics or another IT-related discipline and qualification for career group 2, 1st entry level of the general administrative service.
• Strong knowledge of IT architecture and experience in developing and implementing complex IT systems.
• Expertise in IT security and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of project management and experience in managing IT service providers.
• Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented way of working.
• ITIL knowledge, agile project management methods and Scrum knowledge; corresponding certificates are desirable.
